I created a new save but when I try to choose a lot it doesn’t let me click it

so I make a new save and sim no problem then I try to get her into a house and I try to click the lot it doesn’t work even though it’s doing the cursor animation. What’s wrong with my game? It also doesn’t open on pre-existing saves.
