Incorrect Original By in Gallery

Hi Everyone:

I spent pretty much a month building this house that I made on a Simlicy's save file. The house itself was fully built by me... I just manually deleted the old house (which was made by Simlicy) instead of deleting the lot using the bulldoze feature. Because of that, the Simlicy "Original By" remained on the posting. I contacted the support team a few times and after many conversations they provided two solutions:

1. Save all the rooms as separate rooms and replace them on a new lot.

2. Post my problem here.

The house has a huge amount of terrain manipulation, landscaping, and custom placement of items.... replacing all of the rooms would be a literal disaster and the house wouldn't remain in its original form.

My question is... I know it may seem trivial, but is there any way the EA team will step in to remove the original tag on my posting? I only care so much because I spent probably 40+ hours (or more.. who knows) on this house and it's basically saying it was originally made by someone else.

Any help or assistance would be appreciated. I have attached a photo for reference of the original by tag.

  • @xSoarHawkx Hello!  I've never used someone else's save file so I'm not sure how that works when it comes to gallery shares.  Did you share the lot to the gallery directly from Simlicy's save?  I'm wondering if the game / gallery is looking at the save data and seeing Simlicy as the creator instead of you.  Perhaps you could create a new save of your own, place the lot and then save and share to the gallery.  Once you place the lot, you may need to make some sort of change and then save?  Really, this is just a guess and I hope it works.  Please come back and let us know if that works out for you.
