@clyd234 There's many issues for infinite loading and it depends a bit where it happens but if it works with no cc then you have probably one that's not compatible with the current version.

I have the same issue as them right now. Its been happening since the release of the EA app for Mac (I do have a recent and compatible Mac) and I deleted all my cc as well, deleted and re-downloaded the EA app and the sims so many times I couldn't count it. I just spend a whole day talking to EA customer service and after Safe booting my Mac per their advice I still get stuck n the infinite loading screen. Just like OP after install I can start the game go to CAS to create my household and choose a lot, but when loading to the lot and actually starting the game I end up in the loading screen. Force quit the sims 4 and restart. and only loading screen from that point on. Customer service isn't able to help me and really just told me to come here to the forum. I do not even want to know how much money I spent on this game (Bought it back in 2016 for €60+ most of te packs since then) so getting this game to work is definitely a priority.
