Laundry

I have Sims 4 with Vampires, Laundry Day, Realm of Magic and Seasons. When I select ‘add to washing machine’ on a pile of dirty laundry the sim picks the laundry up and sets us back on the floor with a trash can above their head. I have tried putting the washer in my inventory and back out, selling and repurchasing and using different sims to do it. Nothing seems to work. Pls send help. The laundry is piling up!
