Loading takes forever after building

I have around 4k+ mods and I don’t play sims very often so apologies if this isn’t a good question. I was building a room for one of my sims and when I clicked to save, it just took forever. I ended up needing to open task manager to close the game. My PC can handle sims so i’m sure it can handle this many mods. I tried restarting my system and removing out of date mods and some duplicates. The issue still occurs and I’m not sure what to do.

I have a suspicion it could be some of the mods I have installed but I used better exception to see what is the problem.

  • @ciel4dead You can determine if mods are the problem in the first place by testing vanilla: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test if that lot is a problem in the same workflow without mods, and exit without saving if you want to keep all your CC installed in your save.

Here's how to test which mods are causing you issues: 50-50 testing.

Hey I tried this and it did work out for building but i'm now having this issue with CAS.
I pressed save and go to manage world to fix my sims up in CAS and every time I click to open CAS, it opens up a Better Exception: UI Exception tab reading, "A UI Exception occurred while you didn't have a household loaded. This page will show the report automatically once scanning has finished." It takes forever to load in and same with trying to enter CAS. So I'm stuck with CAS endlessly loading and a Better Exception UI page that wont give me any info regarding what could be the problem. Should I try doing 50/50 again?
