@nguyecas Up-to-date mods can still be broken. Start by testing with none: Exit Sims 4 then move (not copy) your Mods folder to your desktop or rename it. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

Any reason why it works perfectly fine with a new save but when loading old saves, I get the long loading screens?

@nguyecas The bigger the save, the longer loading screens will be. Back when the game was new, I did some testing around this and found that overall Sim count is a big factor, for example.
One thing we now know is a problematic issue for overall file size is the number of photos Sims have taken. When you're playing an older save, check Sims' inventories and delete a lot of the photos.
