Loosing milestone progress

Since this last update, i have lost milestone progress on infants and toddlers.  they have been backed to where they were before they were born.  This is very frustrating.  I spent hours and hours of playing and IT IS NOW ALL GONE.

the toddlers were finished with all of the majority of their milestones over two days ago.  the infants milestones were done in the last 12 hours.  I have attached example of one infant whose milestones and progress have been lost.  I could not show all since this only allowed 3 attachments.

I do not feel like checking other of my families since I am afraid those milestones will be lost too.

PLEASE remove this new process called the discovery quests which is to show one how to get a career, or fill needs, or use the phone.  I really do not need this cluttering my game play.  i have my own objectives for my sims and do not need these new events cluttering and slowing down SIMS game response.  Since the update, the response time has been very, very sluggish.

How do I get my milestones back?  How do I turn off this new discovery quests that was added with the last update?  I do not want them and do not need them.

Almost makes me want to ask for all the money back I spent on packages and uninstall the game and EA.  this game has been buggy (very buggy) but I put up with those issues; however, when I loose game play items, that is just wrong.
