Lots of things won’t work after Update and Patch Fix-Help!

Hi!

So I updated my game the day the update came out and had the auto aging glitch and lifespan glitch- I would try changing the lifespan to long but it would make it as if it were a normal lifespan. I updated it again when the patch update came out (though when I updated it, it just said verifying files and I checked my game version and it said it updated) and the lifespan glitch was still happening. I had been playing on no auto aging prior to the patch fix (I have no idea if this has anything to do with it). I even started a new game to see if it would fix and nothing. Didn’t get fixed on my existing and new saves. Today I open my files to try and download a new mod and a lot of my files in my Sims 4 file had a red X under status.

I have no idea if that had anything to do with the patch or if it’s a mistake I made, but I am really confused and in need of Sim playing. Sorry for the long message, I wanted to make everything clear so I can get the best help. I haven’t seen anything about anyone having this issue yet. I hope I’m not the only one!
