MCCC issues

So my Mccc mod wasn't working and I cut pasted the mods file to the desktop. After running the game again, I then deleted the newly generated Mods file and replace it with the old ones. Now all my cc and mods is back, but the sims are all bald and naked. Do I have to re dress all sims? Is there any other way around this? Help!!!

[CM Edit: Title update]

  • @Boom143     Hi! You might be able to use the Recover Save feature and try to find a save from before you removed your CC.  Try these steps.

    - Make sure CC and mods are enabled in options.

    - From the main menu, click the Load Game button.

    - Click the Recover Save button for the save you want to recover.

    - From the menu that loads, click the Recover button for the save with a date / time from before the CC was removed.

    - The game will redirect to the Load Game menu and there will be a new save with [Recovered] at the end of the name.

    - Load that save and check to see if your CC is back.

    - If not, follow the above steps to recover an earlier save.

Hopefully one of the five recoverable saves will restore your CC. If not, then unfortunately you will have to add the CC again manually.  :-(
Good luck!  I hope you can restore your game!

  • @Boom143 If you played and saved with the new mods, the old mods would be forgotten about and I believe you'll have to re-dress all your poor sims.

Oh thank lord it worked!! Thank you so much!! But now my mccc mod doesn't work, like it doesn't show when I clicked a sim. Previously I cut the whickedwhims and cc mod file and it worked, but when I pasted it back it doesn't. How do I fix this? Thank you again!

@Boom143   Do you have the latest version of MCCC?  There was a new public release on Patreon yesterday.  So, try installing that and then please come back to update if it's working or not.

Edit:  Actually, there was another new release today, so be sure to get that one.  :-)

  • I'm glad you are nearly done with restoring your mods @Boom143!

And thank you @JonaO703. You certainly do learn something new everyday! I've taken note of this just in case my mods plays up!

All the best to you both!
