    So i have discovered it's my mods/CC after all causing the issue. I guess I must not have noticed the first time. I don't know why seeing as none of my mods/CC affect food at all...

      @gingermegs To be sure, you can't make the cake (or other recipes) at all, even when not connected to the quest ?

        Yes I am sure! I can do it with the "cook with..." option (as in cook with someone else) but not individually. I have all the ingredients I have cooking level 10 but they don't appear. I have done everything!
