Mod Help
Hi. So i switched from mac to windows due to the amount of mods/cc i have. everything transferred smoothly, however, windows is having a fit over my cc. i use MCCC command center to help find broken ...
@baybayb51200 When you removed the Mods/CC and confirmed it worked properly, then went to begin re-adding the Mods/CC via a 50/50 method and it didn't work on the first try, I would assume that's an indication that that first set of Mods/CC you re-added contained some or all of the Mods/CC causing the issue.
Did you try then removing the Mods/CC again, setting aside the group that you just confirmed triggered the issue, then trying the other set of Mods/CC that you didn't add yet to see if they trigger the issue? The 50/50 method is a process of elimination. If re-adding either or both sets of Mods/CC triggers the problem, that tells you you need to try with a smaller or different group of the Mods/CC. Keep trying different and/or smaller groups of the Mods/CC until you begin to find groups of them that don't trigger the issue so you can set those aside as 'okay'.
Yes, i tried multiple different groups of mods. and every time i deleted a mod that MCCC command center said was “broken”, it will still pop up the same alert saying it couldn’t load bc the mod was corrupted, but yet it was no where in my folder. i never had that issue with my mac. once i deleted a mod it would just give an alert for a new one if i had multiple broken mods, not repeating the same one when the file has already been deleted.
@baybayb51200 You said you the game still thinks the broken Mods/CC is there after it was removed, did you also delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder? I'm wondering if your game is still seeing cached files from the broken content.
Yes i have tried that also. i followed all the steps that i could find on google, including repairing/reinstalling the game.
