I had the same. I travelled to the lot when the pop-up to start the gig arrived. The other tasks completed with no problem: but the Before and After photos did not.
As a result, I never got the slideshow of photos at the end, either.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When doing interior design job - go to your customer's home and try to take pictures before/after.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim can take pictures, but in the challenges, the before and after pictures keep saying 0/3, even if I have taken 10+ pictures. I tried to take pictures by clicking on floor, clicking on sim and with cellphone... Nothing helps.
What do you expect to see? I expect that the challenge accepts my pictures taken and that is says 3/3 when I took 3 pictures. I would like to see my sim finish the work so that the sim gets paid and doesn't lose reputation because the sim can't finish the work.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
