[MOD RELATED] [DHD] Game freezes after reveal/Grey overlay

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.75.125.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By playing the pack.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim will go to work (interior designer), she will complete all the goals but once she’s finished her job the screen freezes and looks faded.
What do you expect to see? I’d expect it not to freeze and for it to come up saying that my sim was successful or not successful at her job.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It started happening after I downloaded the dream home decorator pack and it only happens with that career, I have updated all my mods to the latest versions post patch and removed my mods and the problem still persists.

whenever I send my sim to an interior design gig she can complete all the goals without any issues but once the gig is completed I do not get a pop up to say whether she was successful or not and my game completely freezes (as shown in the screenshot) and the screen fades.. I have updated all my mods to the current and latest updates that were released after the patch and the packs release and I have removed my mods folder and the problem still persists.. this happens at the end of every single gig and the only way I can unfreeze is by closing the game all together. Also when I go into task manager to see if the game is unresponsive it says it’s responding so it’s not a normal freezing issue caused by the PC itself.

    The conflicting career in my files is itskatato - psychology career. 

    me I have thousands upon thousands of mods and cc so I’ll keep going to make sure there’s nothing else, if there is I’ll let you all know as I find them, if not I’ll let you know when I’ve finished if that’s the only conflicting file I had.

    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Completing the Interior decorator job and asking for final verdict
    What happens when the bug occurs? After completing the Final Reveal in the interior decorator career the screen turned a gray/black colour. I can clearly see the game is still running as the sim icon above the character is rotating and shimmering but i am unable to do anything
    What do you expect to see? The results of the final verdict
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

    @fisch1260 Could you try if repairing the game works ?
    1. Close the game
    2. Right-Click on the game in Origin
    3. Hit Repair game.

    I Have an issue with the new game pack "Dream Home Decorator" my sim did a renovation gig but once they were finished and did a final verdict with the client the game went funny screen went darker i couldn't click on anything i had to go into task manager and end task.

    @crinrict all my mods have been updated. but it stops doing the problem then i got to another gig and the issue happens again

    Hi @MinniesEden 

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
