Last night I made a new household in CAS, which was working fine, and wanted to move them into a house. Every time I tried to start a game I was sent back to the menu screen and a pop-up came up that said "The game failed to load. Error Code: 109:dd2b8c5:c2f8da84. It is recommended that you relaunch the game." I tried to relaunch the game, but I still kept getting the same message. I tried in other save files and got the same message. I figured it would have something to do with a broken mod, so to double-check it was a script mod I turned off script mods and went into a game and didn't get that message. Once I knew it was a script mod I updated the ones I thought needed to be updated, yet I still got the same message when I turned on script mods and tried to enter the game. I uninstalled all of my script mods, yet I still get the same message. I know it is a mod and not cc since it works fine when script mods are turned off. Playing without mods is a deal-breaker for me since I find the base game very boring. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance for any help. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted title, added tag

@pegmom03 Please test with no mods or custom content, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop. If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

Turned off mods and deleted cache file, game ran fine, then turned on mods and I got the same glitch again. At least this time I didn't get the game failed to load glitch. Im surprised it was the mods causing it, since when this issue first happened, I was deleting them. Anyways, combing my folder might take a while, but I'll do it. Will continue to update.

@she_x_nadi Are you using mods/cc in your game ? If so, does it work if you remove them ?If not, does it only happen on one lot or any ? Does it also happen in a new save for testing purposes ?

Saw a bunch of other fixes for error codes 109 and tried all of those but none of them worked, and I've never seen an error code like the one I have. It's something like 109:dd2b8c5 and a lot of numbers. I'll make a new sim or even just import a new household onto a lot and then when it opens up, my sim's photo will not even show up at the bottom left of the. No info related to my sim show up. And the sim won't show up on the lot either. After a minute or so of this the game boots me out with that error code.I've got about 11k mods on my game but this has never been a problem until just recently.Would appreciate any help if anyone out there has gone thru similar problems.

When I search under that wiki I only see results for sims 3, but I am using sims 4. Are tuning mods just regular mods? I don't think I have any regular mods left after deleting them all, only cc.

@gr0mpy The method works the same way for Sims 4. It's not depending on the game.

Does it work if you remove everything and delete the localthumcache file ? (test on a backup of your save)

Anyone know how to fix this >> Error code: 109:dd2b8c5:647e95f2 game loads fine up until i try to load a household or create a household. Checked all my mods they all are updated to the latest patch. Since the latest patch first issued i had was built buy lagging hard now this ☹️

Yes I’m using mods. I removed them from game and boom it works again so im guessing one of my mods are broken as of yesterday

Maybe there's also a LastException that could give you an indication what to look for.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
