Update from me! After testing everything all yesterday, a complete file refresh worked "PARTIALLY" for me, meaning that it fixed the reverting time but it didn't fix the lost relationships/points/abilities/etc. When I did my file refresh, I moved mods/tray/screenshots/options to my desktop and deleted all the remaining files in the sims 4 folder. After starting the game and playing with a vanilla family for 3 weeks, I did not encounter the bug and everything seemed as it should. Then I moved my affected save into the new save folder (still without any mods installed) and started it up. In my household, my last save came after my werewolf sim had her baby age into a toddler. The household photo still had my sim holding the toddler but upon loading in, that toddler was now a RANDOM baby and had NO relation to my sim. I also noticed that the time was at that infamous time and none of the other NPC kids aged up like they were when I last saved that game. My werewolf sim had no abilities despite being an apex, her relationships were intact besides from her new son, and her reward points were set to zero.
That's why I initially said that a fresh folder restart did not work because my game still did not pick up where it left off and things were still off. HOWEVER, I continued to play the household, got my sim pregnant again, and played the game for a couple of days so the NPC kids could age up. Went into manage worlds (which was a trigger for resetting the time back) and everything was good. Kids were aged up still and Time did not reset. Went into CAS (another former trigger) and everything saved fine once I returned to my household. So I saved, went back to the main menu and loaded back in and everything was STILL fine.
So I exited out and decided to add my mods back in such as CAS CC, Adult Mod, MCCC,UI cheats, and SOL even though it needs to be updated but it didn't cause any issue. With mods back installed, everything loaded in great and where I left off from that vanilla version. I went into manage world/Cas to edit NPCs...everything was fine it's just that some NPC also did not have a relationship set to their toddlers like my sim in the beginning, they also seemed to be randomized. After that, loaded in...played...saved...loaded again and time DID NOT GO BACK.
Conclusion: so a file refreshed worked but my game still suffered. Although time progressed fine after all that, I had to cheat back somethings that were still lost and redo things. I still have those 2 saves in the new folder, but I'm hesitant to move my other saves back in, in fear that something corrupted them. ALSO, MODS DID NOT IMPACT THE TIME REVERTING BACK! In my early testing, I still had the issue with or without mods installed. I really don't think WW has anything to do with it because even when I didn't have it in, it still went back to Tues upon coming out of mange worlds. ALSO, it seems like everyone loses something different after reading the replies. My sims still had most of their relationships and jobs/reward traits intact besides from her new baby. With mods that was an easy fix to cheat back but i don't know what caused this bug to begin with. The update came out on the 26 I think, and I know I had my game running that entire day so it didn't update until I opened it the following day. I truly don't know how it happened but after they release the hot patch soon, I will be turning auto updates off lol.
I'm interested to see if a file refresh works for you guys too as far as stopping time from going back. And for those who don't play with mods, this is a bad bug because you lose relationships, points, etc unless you are able to cheat them back
CM EDIT: Do not mention 18+ Mods.
