[MOD RELATED] My sims are stuck in class + work

My sim would go to class then she would come out of class but it said she was still in class, this also happens when my sims go to work, it returns to normal after I go into manage worlds, but happens as soon as they go back to work or class. I also cannot control their behaviour at work or class such as 'work hard' or 'leave early'. How can I fix this as now my game is unplayable.

    @cutepartypugs Are you using mods/cc in your game ? This is a symptom of an error that can either be a game bug or mod issue.

    Usually if it's every single Sim going to work/school, then it's a mod. If it's a specific situation it can be a game bug.

     I have tried everything recommended in several forums including removing mods, having a sim leave early, game repair, etc. Nothing has worked. Originally this was only happening with one of my games, since trying the remove files, play normally, and put them back it happens to all of my games. I love the Sims and this continually happening is making the game unplayableMy game is up-to-date and I am playing on Laptop that uses Windows

    If it's all Sims/saves, it's usually a mod still being active.

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    Sims was working fine, now my sims are “stuck” in their career state and daily tasks are not updating. I have a teacher, engineer and grade school student who all experience this problem. Alongside this, the grade school student will return home but the icon still says he is at school- the only way I can resolve that is by going on “modify sim” then returning and he is playable.

    I have mods and cc but these have not changed since this problem started. 
    Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

    @hollie1696 Mods/CC get outdated with patches.

    I think both meaningful stories and SoL can cause this issue currently (not sure if they have been updated). Are you using either of those ?

    I actually have both these mods!!! I will remove each one to see if it’s one or the other (or both!) I’ll update you- thank you so much!

    turned out it was Meaningful Stories mod, I’ve removed it and Sims is back to normal - thank you for your help 🙂
