I experienced this once because I was trying to get my Sim to have a relationship with Akira Kibo (Darling Walsh can eff herself up haha) but I couldn't cheat my way through it because Akira Kibo causes "could not convert string to attach"
So I did it the other way around and cheated through Akira Kibo.
It happened three months ago though and I haven't tried using the cheat with Akira again (he's still single in my game tho! haha)...
I mean I kinda forgot all about this issue until I saw this thread so might as well relay my experience.
