I started playing sims on my macbook and my male sims don’t appear in create a sim. In the worlds i can see them but if i try to change their clothes in CAS, they don’t appear at all.
This is a save from my PC that i transferred to my Macbook, could that be the issue?

My one sim is invisible in cas and in my game. I do have mods installed for attraction preferences, wonderful whims, slice of life, better exceptions. Suprisiling I don't think its any of these mods that are causing the error. I can still make my sims do everything but I can't see them. In cas I thought I might have broken cc on my sims but I can't even press my sim. I believe all my mods are up to date. The only different thing that's happened to my game is the most recent patch day. Ive tried everything like making my sims shower, taking out the cache thing, repairing my game none of its worked. its highly annoying and I would like anyone to help asap I know this has been a problem for people before and I've tried researching all these different ways of fixing it and it won't work :/. it says I'm running all the newest versions of my mods so idk what's wrong. anyone who knows what to do please help me.
edit: turns out its only my male sims? idk why but its not effecting any of my female sims only my male sims.

yes I do have height sliders, I do also have some body sliders
edit: I removed the height slider and my male sims is still invisible, I did save the game while he was invisible so idk if I should try a older save file or what I haven't removed body sliders but I don't think its the issue seeing as I only use the body sliders on my female sims.

I’m having this same issue and it just started happening last night so I deleted all the cc and mods I’ve downloaded since last night and it’s still broken, I even uninstalled sims and repaired through origin

Mine are not showing up either. I've done the 50/50 method with my mods and it still didn't work.

Maybe it’s an issue on their end ?

I recently played the SIMS4 and, after updating my game on 4/19, I could no longer see any male sims. I clicked on various different games I have on my account and continuously noticed my male sims would be invisible, with just the green SIMS diamond over their head. When I had the POV of a female player, I could not interact with the male players and could not click on them. I tried the Better Exceptions mod to see if any mods were broken. After one mod was removed, and another updated, there were no differences and the males are still invisible. I play on a MacBook and am not sure where to go from here.
All help would be appreciated; thank you.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by clicking on the dots in EA app.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I was also having the same problem on my MacBook but I believe I found the issue! Before I started having the problem, I noticed that when using one of my breast sliders, if I moved the slider too far in the character would disappear—even my female sims.
I followed @crinrict instructions and while putting my mods back in by folder, I discovered that removing one of my breast sliders (B.C_Breast.package) fixed the issue of my male sims being invisible. I saw a thread on reddit and it seems like other users are having the same problem but removing various slider mods fixed it. Try going through them a few at a time to see which one is causing the issue!- 3 years ago
I removed that slider as well and the male sims are now showing up again.

I’ve had this problem the past two days, all males are invisible for me since the update. I tried opening a new game too, not just my previous save, it’s all the same.
no visible men in CAS, none of my male sims are visible and no male NPC’s are visible. They are there and doing stuff, but I can’t see or interact with them… I went to the gym and watched the weights move themselves, the showers turn on and off, there are floating umbrellas on rainy days…
I have tried disabling and uninstalling all mods and cc, I only have WW and MCCC.
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@ilisholiver Did you try the suggestion above ?

Where would i find the sliders at though? are they in with the mods/cc?
I took out all my sliders and the males are still invisible

@Gardenia1989 Did you remove all your other mods/cc as well and delete the localthumbcache file ?
@ummmits Glad to hear you figured it out. I merged this with the current outdated mods thread then.

hey did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same issue

Hi I’m not sure if you fixed it ( or if anyone else may need the help) but I was having this issue too. Since the recent update. I found on Reddit that it’s probably one of your cc height sliders. I went through mine and deleted the one I figured it was and it definitely fixed the problem. All of my male sims are showing again. Just a tip that might help.
