Mods and CC Known Bugs and Issues: July 18th, 2023 Game Update

Ever since the 7/18/23 update, my Build/Buy menu is completely messed up. It looks like it's glitching and there's objects all over each other, where they clearly shouldn't be. I added a photo of my Build menu to better show the mess. Because of this, I can't choose any different counter styles either. Also, when I try to copy an item, it shows as if it did but the item is invisible. 

I've already restarted both the game and the computer. Not sure what else I can do, and I really think it's a bug rather than something I can fix on my end.

Please help, love this game but this is so frustrating!

For anyone still experiencing this issue, for me it was the all worlds are residential mod 🙂

I just had this happen to me yesterday.  I was fine with mounting and riding my horse for about 2 sims weeks, then I thought I will get a dog.  Once I had my chocolate lab in the game, I could not mount my horse.  Went into cas and deleted the dog, and I could ride just fine again.  I can live without a dog or cat in my game until I can find what is the cause. I had just gotten all my mods and cc updated from the mess created last year with HSY release. (Did not buy.) I quit playing the game for about a year, so I wade back into the water and here we are again.  I recently received an email saying that I had won a badge(?).  Not helpful.  It's not like I can spend it, maybe it would look good on a resume under other life achievements.  It's getting close to September again, looks like the time has come to put this back on the shelf for another year,   My neighbor recently had a garage sale, she had quite a few board games.  I bought some and it will be a welcome relief to play something I can count on working throughout the whole game. All the pieces are there.  Plunder anyone?

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into build mode, open the buy catalog, go to "Objects by Room," click on the fridge and check the items in the catalog.
What happens when the bug occurs? Debug items are appearing in the catalog with no cheats enabled.
What do you expect to see? No debug items in the catalog when the cheats are disabled.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Bug first appeared with the 1.99.264.1030 patch, has not disappeared with the newest patch. The bug appeared pre-installing Horse Ranch.

I already tried troubleshooting my game by removing my TS4 folder and letting the game generate a new one, and the bug appeared when I made a new save file in that clean version of the game. My mods are disabled and the bug does not go away by turning off cheats. The only thing I haven't tried is removing any of my packs. I'm using the EA App to launch the game if that somehow may have any effect.

@moonxskiesx It sounds like you will need to test and find out which of your Mods/CC is causing the issue. Since you have a lot ov Mods/CC you can use the 50/50 method. Directions  for the 50/50 method:

I bought the new sims 4 horse ranch game and it downloaded. I see the build and buy but I cannot access the world. It doesn’t show as an icon I can click on with the rest of them. Please help I paid for this and I can’t even play it. 

@secretrev09  This is mod-related.  Please remove your mods and test.

When i play the horse pack on sims4, i can create a hourse etc, then as soon as i want to play and move my household into a land, the horse is not there? I have tried buying horses too and the game just acts as if i havent clicked anything. i have been in contact with EA many times over the past couple weeks, just to be told i cannot get a refund, and they will contact someone about a bug in game, but i still have not heard back and i still cannot play the game properly!

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
