Mods and CC not showing up in game

Please help

Every time I open my game, my mods do not show up in game.

I have updated my game, repaired it, I even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling my game.

I have taken all my mods out and tested them out, one by one, still, none worked or even showed up in game, despite having script mods and CC aloud.

I have tried making sure my game version file matched the in-game version shown at the bottom of the screen at startup.

I have disabled and reenabled my mods, multiple times.

I checked to makes sure each and every one of my mods are updated to their latest versions.

I have tried EVERYTHING.

I've just about had it with this issue.

I might as well stop playing at this point.

  • @wyldwood  Please move the entire Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  Move options.ini to the desktop too; this will reset all your in-game options.  Load the game, enable mods and custom content, and quit.  Download a fresh copy of one mod known to be updated for the current patch, place it in the new Mods folder the game will have generated, and see whether it works.

If it doesn't work, double-check that you're looking at the "correct" Sims 4 folder, as in, the one the game is reading.  Here's how to find out:

Please also list your full game version as it appears in-game (at the Main Menu), as in, 1.xx.xxx.xxxx.

Thank you! Not sure if it works yet but I'm starting right now

  • @wyldwood I literally just solved this problem sigh. Here's a simple fix,
    1. Drag your Electronic arts folder to your
    desktop.

    2. Rename the folder to "Old Electronic arts"

    3. Start the game. It will recreate the Electronic
    Arts folder.

    4. As soon as the game is loaded, exit the
game. If it tells you that you have insufficient
memory to run the game, ignore that.

    5. Open the new Electronic Arts folder that the
game created, click The Sims 4, delete the
saves file and replace it with the old saves
file, from the one in the Old Electronic Arts
folder. PLEASE DO NOT GET THE FOLDERS
    MIXED UP.

    6. Since you said nothing was wrong with your
cc mods, go ahead and place your mods into
    the new mods folder.

After doing that ☝️ the pop up will show on your game with all your mods showing. Just remember to enable your mods and script mods in Game Options, restart the game if they weren't enabled. Your problem should be solved luv.
