Simmers have been finding that the UI Cheats extension mod has been causing these issues with the Gallery. It would be best to remove the mod and download/install the updated version that has been released since the patch.
You were right! I downloaded the recent version and now I can save things to my library and place lots successfully. Thanks everyone for their help!
