sureee its kinda messy and I but it worked for me hahah sorry.
so the other screenshot of the folder in the mods folder is just empty there is not files in there so I just left it like this.
documents electronic arts sims 4 mods and I have another mods folder in there.
ill just try getting iCloud storage again and then see what happens thank you so much for all the help I was in distress hahah
mikail_david Could you show me the whole filepath of this? So I can see what it's inside, all the way up to what Documents is inside.
Then click on Documents on the left, then Electronic Arts, then The Sims 4, then Mods and show me that.
For support on setting up iCloud in a way that won't touch Sims, start here: [READ FIRST] Saves, CC/Mods or Library items disappeared? iCloud issues | EA Forums - 10979712 If you need more help after we confirm what you have where on your system, that's a terrific place to get it. I'm not a Mac person, so I can't help you with what happens if you cancel and restore iCloud storage. But I suspect you're going to need to redownload mods and put them in the Mods folder the game is seeing.... after making sure iCloud isn't going to interfere with them.

ok I think I understand thank you so much.
the screenshot I showed you was taken in the document section in the mods folder I think the one the game has access to.
to be honest that sounds really complicated and im a little confused hahah. this just reminded me tho that I cancelled my iCloud storage so maybe that messed with it but I tried finding the missing mods in finder but they are nowhere to be found do you think if I get iCloud storage again they will show back up?
I would love to know how to make iCloud mess with the sims thank you
thank you so much for your help really <3
mikail_david You're showing me iCloud storage, which the game can't see -- and it could well be that iCloud moving your files around has caused you problems, especially if you don't have a lot of disk space. See these for how to find where the game is looking for mods and CC:
- Mac-specific: https://bluebellflora.com/2021/10/17/using-terminal-to-locate-your-sims-4-files-and-folders/
Let me know if you want support on getting iCloud to not mess with the Sims. You can try looking for your moved files by searching your computer for the filename of one you know should be there. But you might need to disconnect iCloud from Sims then redownload mods.

hi thank you for your reply,
so the folders are there and empty and also I don't use mods sorry that I said mods so just cc cas and build mode stuff
and I don't use a mod manager I'm soo sorry I'm not super tech savvy
what I'm seeing is empty folders do you want screenshots of that, and the file path not exactly sure which one you need but its just /User/Myname/Applications/TheSims4.app that's what I could find in the ea app nothing really changed in my files nothing is in my Bin I dont know what if corrupted files still show up or just disappear
Also haven't updated my MacBook or anything no changes except my mods folder being mostly empty now
Im sending a screenshot of file path I guess idk and a screenshot of one of my empty cc folder
Thank you for your help
And a third question: Are you using any mod managers?
mikail_david Please answer these questions:
- Are the folders there but they're empty? or is it just Mods alone?
- Are you on a Mac or a PC?
Also, please post some screenshots to show me what you're seeing. Include the full filepath in the window.
