Hi @lucyalice29 best idea, when in doubt, is to have a separate game where you have mods and cc disabled, then upload the chosen lot or sim from that game, to the gallery.
Hope this helps, but is a surefire way.
nb: as it could be anything "unseen", not to forget to delete the 'localthumbcache' file in TS4 folder.
I came on here because I have the same problem. I tried once to move out my entire mods folder then upload it to the gallery and it worked, the only problem was that when I put the folder back in my sim and townies were in their underwear. So when I wanted to upload something again I only moved out my build buy cc. (I used bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.showliveeditobjects too and went through debug to make sure there wasn't any hidden cc) But it still said there was CC even with the lot empty! Is there any way I can move out the folder and put it back in without my sims being reset? (also side note: even when I still had build and buy cc in the game I was able to upload a room on the second story but not able to upload one on the ground level)

You will get a CC key mark even if you don't have CC objects in the room. It's enough that you have in this room photos taken by your sim or paintings made by reference.
If you have mods and CC in the game, these photos and paintings will always be CC objects for the Gallery
One script mod that I do not want to mention here will also mark sometimes the houses and rooms with the CC key although this mod has nothing to do with the buying panel.- 6 years ago
@kreatora I don't have any custom photos or paintings in the lot, I do know that they do affect that. My lot is completely empty. Also, I think I know what script mod you are talking about and I don't have it as I'm a minor. I only have script mods (which I remove before I build in case there are any debug objects) and CAS CC in my game. At this point I know I need to remove my mods folder and put it back but every time I do this my sims show up in their underwear even though I haven't deleted any CC, I put it back in the game. Do you know if there is a way to prevent this?

I wasn't writing about CC photos and CC images. This applies to ordinary paintings that your sim will paint in the game based on a photo and to ordinary photos that your sim will do in the game. The gallery will always consider these paintings and photographs as objects of CC if you had anything in the mods folder when your sim was doing it.
Another question is do you save this lot to the library from game mode when your sims are there at home?
If so, move this family to another lot and try to save the house to the library from Manage World mode.
You can also try to save room by room to the library and see which room will be marked with CC. Then take this room out of the house and remove it. It will be a bit of work to create this room from scratch in a built house but at least you will get rid of this invisible CC.
