My game gets stuck after i exit build mode? Please Help !

After the december update, when i would go into build mode, and return to live mode, the game enters live mode but the build mode disappears and I am no longer able to click or interact with anything. I repaired, went through my mods ( i dont think any are broken? they worked fine before the update?) also the current event that is taking place (the holiday one) none of the quests load, they all look glitchy. I havent been able to play for weeks! Any recommendations?
