My game keep stucking at main menu

Hello, can someone help, after the latest upated, my game keep stucking at the main menu and is all black screen. Need some help to fix this

  • @callmebaper  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just try to start a new save and let me know how it goes.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@callmebaper  Your saves are still intact in the old Sims 4 folder, and you can move them to the new folder later.  They're in the saves folder, naturally.  The Tray folder contains your saved households and builds, and you may want to move that over too.

First though, test your mods and custom content, which may have been the reason you couldn't get past the Main Menu in the first place.  If you enable mods and they get disabled again, please see the first post of this thread:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/PC/CURRENT-ISSUE-Anti-Virus-blocking-User-Folder-Screenshots/m-p/9572695

Once mods and cc are enabled, test your content in the new folder to find out what works and what doesn't.  If you have a lot of files to go through, the 50/50 method can make the process much more efficient:

    https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content#The_50.25_Method

When you're done, you can move over your saves and Tray files, plus Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those.  The rest can be discarded, as the game will create new files and folders to replace the old ones.

@callmebaper  I've moved your thread to the Mods & CC Issues forum.  Feel free to ask for further help finding the broken content if you need it, and someone more familiar with mods and cc may be able to help.
