@terezacvasek Hi! Let's see if we can back you right out and rebuild.
First, make sure that you don't have OneDrive syncing Documents.
Assuming that's fixed, drag the whole The Sims 4 folder to the desktop and restart the game to make a new one. Reset your Game Options, and start a New game, so you have one you can test in.
If that new game is working, you can exit and put in batches of mods and CC into the new Mods folder. Double check that they're installed right, which might mean going back to the modders' instructions. It's really common that there are files you need to pick between, and files that you need to delete if you don't have specific packs, and files that you need to acquire because the mdo depends on them.
If you hit a point where a batch makes your test game break, remove half that batch, delete localthumbcache, and try again.
if i have mac is it a still possibility that onedrive can sync my documents?

Which system are you playing on, Windows PC or Mac?
OneDrive is cloud storage for Windows PC and ICloud does the same thing for Mac. Both can cause the problem for their respective platforms. The Sims 4 does not work well with the cloud so you should exclude it from storing files in whichever cloud program you have. All files for the game should be on your computer and none in the cloud.
Hope this helps.
