What exactly do you mean by won't show up? They aren't directly accessible through the worlds - you need to get a Get to Work job (like doctor), then when it's time to go to work you should get a pop-up asking if you want to send your Sim alone or join them. Choose join them, and it should load into the workplace.
Are you getting the pop-up asking if you want to join your Sim at work? If so, what happens if you click join?
I'm not getting the pop up at all. My sim just goes to work like a regular job where they disappear but don't take you with them. Even though she is a detective.
@dxfsoul Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
