my script mods allowed button is greyed out

I am trying to get some mods/CCs into my game.

I have downloaded, unzipped, and put all my mods/CCs into my Mods folder. However, when I open up my game, they do not load. The Scripts mods allowed button is enabled, but greyed out. When I click "View Custom Content," it says that Maxis does not pre-screen or support Mods, and none of my downloads show. I am unsure of the problem, and I have already tried restarting my computer and deleting and redownloading Origin. Also, I am on a Mac with an M1 chip, if that helps.

Please help 😞

I put screenshots of what is happening below for clarification on what some things look like.

  • @eparlab Is the Enable custom content and mods ticked ? You can't allow script mods without also allowing custom content as such.

I did allow it, and it was still greyed out. However, I have solved my problem already by making a new save file and just transferring everything there. Thank you anyways for the help.
