My sim is gone

So I started up my sims game today it made me re login to my EA account (for the 2nd time this week) which was fine but then after 5 minutes of playing the sim I was playing as disappeared from the bottom part of my screen like where you press to play as each sim; because I was already playing as her I could still see her and do things as her like travel, go to sleep but I can’t get into her inventory because it says she’s not here? I tried to restart the game and she did come back but then after 5 minutes it happened again.. I can’t find anything about this happening before so I don’t know how to fix it. I’m scared to play now incase my other sims disappear too as I’ve had this household for over a year.
