My sims 4 has a white screen whenever I try to play

Whenever I try to open my sims 4 and actually play, it loads the main screen where i can select a save file, but when i do select one it starts to load, plays the sound to let u know ur in the game, but the loading screen is still there.

when i press the windows button and i click back on sims, its just a white screen and i can hear the sounds going on, but i cant see it. 

I've already tried to make a backup, change my screen resolution, and i took out all my mods, which then it finally loads, but when i put the mods back in it starts up again. i know there’s something up with the mods though. pls help💔
