My sims become unresponsive when i download a mod

for some reason every single time i download ANY mod my sims simply become unresponsive, they won't move, won't interact with objects or other sims, they won't do absolutely anything! I tried looking...

I tried both options, but sadly none of them worked, any other ideas?

@mya98 , it would be really helpful in trying to troubleshoot this for you if you could tell us what Mods you are trying to use.
Different Mods effect different aspects of the game, so in order to help you we need to know what you are trying to use.
