my sims cannot try for baby

I have one Sim that doesn't have the option to Try for Baby. He is a young adult and he's been flirting with 2 ou 3 girls from the neighbourhood. He is able to Woohoo with them, but there is no option to Try for Baby.

I have no Mods in my game. My Sim lives in a house I created myself (not downloaded from the Gallery) with his sister. His sister is able to Try for Baby with her boyfriend in the same bed (I tried to see if the problem could come from the bed). I tried to have him "Try for Baby" with 2 different Sims also, just in case the first girl was not able to get pregnant. I also checked his Gender settings in Full Edit CAS and he is able to get Sims pregnant. So I'm quite at a loss, knowing that I'm playing a legacy challenge and he's actually the heir...

Any idea how to fix this?

That's it, I understand what the problem is! Thanks to your message. I decided to try if on my game I could also "unlock" the Try for Baby by invitating to move in one of the NPCs and as it did with you, the option was there. I was just about to move her back to her original household and noticed that with her, they were 8 Sims. So obviously she couldn't get pregnant. I took a look at the households of the others and actually most of the NPCs households are full house! Since we can check what's happening in the neighborhood, Sims keep adopting children all the time 🙂
So in fact, there's no bug, just way too many adopted children in my Sims world 😃

@ceaufy I'll check her out either later tonight or tomorrow.

EDIT: Had no issues getting him to try for baby with a random NPC. Might need your save to check further

Really? That's surprising. So the issue is not the Sim itself, then.
If you want me to share my save, could you please tell me how to proceed?

@ceaufy So I tested your save and the option is actually there if you click on the Sim. It's just greyed out and says the household is already too big ...
It's also missing the woohoo icon.

I believe you might be suffering a variation of this issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Cant-have-more-than-7-Sims-in-household/m-p/11437742#M212252

I say variation as I was able to clear it up by using testing cheats, then adding one of the Sims you want to try for baby with to the household and then removing her again. After that I had the option on the shower and on the Sim (still without icon though).

I have no idea why the game thinks the household is full. Did you have babies with the Sim with NPCs before ? Playing this particular household for a while ? Did you ever overstuff it with a mod ?

@ceaufy Oh, that makes a lot of sense. I didn't even check the Sims household. Of course it's not yours but hers.

Try disallowing adoptions/babies for NPCs

Yes, that's what I've just done. And I've removed a few children from the NPCs households too, just in case 🙂
