my sims character cannot bake anything/cannot click on my sims either.
every time i try to bake something my sims just stands still and nothing shows up, and when i try to click on my sims to change outfit nothing shows up then either.

Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
