Rinmaruslays Please try a double load: load the household from Manage Worlds, get the error, and try to load the same household immediately, without quitting or going to the Main Menu.
If that doesn't work, let me know whether you can load a different household within this save.

Me either!! I have tried literally everything. I am completely stuck. I see some people having the same issue, but not a lot.

Rinmaruslays There are a few suggestions in this thread about the same error code:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mods-CC-Issues/My-sims-won-t-load-after-the-new-update/m-p/14204572
If that doesn't help, try recovering a backup save:
https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/recover-backup-save-game/
Keep in mind that some broken mods can affect a save even after they've been removed, for example a leftover plate from a custom recipe could break a lot. (That usually produces an error 109, not 135; it's just an example of the concept.) So you may actually need to add back updated mods to get the save to load, depending on the underlying issue.

When you recover a backup save, as soon as you re-save it, you just lose all your households again.

marisscait Have you ever used a hybrid occult mod? That's one known cause of disappearing sims. You may need to wait for an update to this mod, or whichever mod is causing the sims to disappear, and play with it going forward.
At the very least, you know that you can load a backup save and see your sims, so you should be able to play them again at some point. Just be sure to keep a copy of this intact backup somewhere else for when you're ready to use it again.

No I have not.
And if you recover a backup save it just gets lost again. That seems to be the same issue everyone is having.
