I have a sim couple and they won't do certain tasks. He won' complete a program on the computer and they won't complete grand meal. They will start then after starting they will sling their hands or slam the table or desk then quit. They have a baby and sometimes it's hard to get them to feed her.
@bev6usa Are you playing with any mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, please start at Broken/Updated Mods (pinned in this forum). If you still have issues after removing and replacing mods (don't forget to delete localthumbcache), see what happens after you drag that folder to your desktop and delete localthumbcache. (Don't save, though! Or test in a new game.)
