Solved

My sims won't do their next task until I pause and unpause game

Sims 4 on Macbook.

Fully updated. Have mods but never had a problem before.

My sims will sit there or continue doing an activity for ages. I have to pause then unpause for them to do the other tasks that are lined up. Things like high school or work, are finishing hours after they should unless I keep pausing and unpausing so the game catches up with itself.

  • @tarquinthethird1 Please test without mods, and not just disabling them: Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

  • @luthienrising Thank you so much for your help. It got rid of that problem, just need to test which mods are fine and which are not now. Thanks again.

I'm having the same problem. What mod caused the issue for you?
