My Sims won't go to work or school/ Meus Sims não vão trabalhar ou para a escola

Question

When it's time to go to work or school, my Sims don't leave the house and there is always a warning that they are missing work/school and that their grades are falling. A window also appears asking "Should the Sim miss work/school?" and I select "no", but it's no use, they're still missing. I've also tried clicking "Go to work/go to school" in the work window, but that doesn't work either.

Quando chega o horário de ir trabalhar ou ir para a escola, meus Sims não saem de casa e sempre fica o alerta de que eles estão faltando ao trabalho/escola e que as notas estão caindo. Também aparece uma janela perguntando "o Sim deve faltar o trabalho/escola?" e eu seleciono "não", mas não adianta, eles continuam faltando. Também já tentei clicar em "Ir trabalhar/ir para a escola" pela janela de trabalho, mas também não funciona.

@rayssaur Please also check the Broken/Updated Mods list. You might find a quick solution to your problem them.

@rayssaur  Does the rest of the household go to work fine ? Do you have just one Sim that goes to school ?Any mods/cc in your game ?

@rayssauryes.. simply testing for bad mods 🙂
Back up one or two saves of the family with issue
Move your mod folder out to desktop along with tray file and all saves
delete thumbcache
From the EA APP repair game
Create a new sim in a clean game and get them a home and a job. See if they are leaving for it. If yes.. it's a mod issue. SO:
Then making sure mods are up to date add them back in 50 / 50
Odds are it's a script mod affecting them, so I would start with ones you know could affect career or leaving the lot ( even for rabbit hole )
if those are fine then continue with 50 / 50.
if all stays well add the back up save and test again.
If no luck.. it's broken.
If working.. add all your saves back.

The broken one if it did not work.. is probably corrupted to far ☹️

Seems like a lot of work.. but it will save you a lot of grief vs downloading and adding all mods back to brand new game.

crincrict has a way to do all this with renaming files.. but I prefer to hands on move my folder and all 😉

From crinrict way: QUOTE

Try the following

Close the game
Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
Close the game again
Copy JUST your save game from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves
Start your save
Check if you still have the error
Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

@rayssaur  You don't have to delete your mods. Just move your mods folder to a different location, create a copy of your save game, delete the localthumbcache file and test this way.

I have two adults and two kids, none of them go to work/school

Yes, I have cc/mods, but I really don't wanna delete all of them because it was too hard to get

Is there another way to fix this without deleting everything?
