My teenager doesn't get a trait

Does anyone else have the issue where when aging from a child to a teenager, they don't get to pick their aspiration or traits? Or when aging from a teen to a young adult, they don't get to pick the third trait? Its super frustrating. I just aged up my sim in my Not So Berry challenge, which im up to pink.... She was a teen, and I aged her to a Young Adult, and she didn't get to have the third trait added in so now I feel its ruined my gameplay. I tried editing her in cas, can't do it cos its a played sim. So frustrated!!!

I tested this issue in a new save. I made a young adult, a teenager and a child. The child aged to a teen, but didn't get aspiration choice, nor did she get the second trait, yet when she aged to young adult, she got the choice of aspiration and two more traits to make 3 in total. Frustrating, but manageable.

The teenager, when aged in to young adult, no third trait. aged to adult, no third trait. aged to elder, still no third trait.
