Nanocan not giving simoleans

currently playing the game rn and tried to use nanocan by draging the dishes in but it didn't give money out. i looked it up and saw someone said that it worked if your sim uses it but not when you drag things into it. so i got my sim to try and throw something out but he can't even use it anymore. he would just pick it up move ever so slightly and then put it back down. and he does this with every peace of trash. if anyone knows if i just need to "repair" my game on origin or if this is a bug from the recent updates?

    The bug you refer to was solved long ago.

    For your current issue. Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game
    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

    @jpkarlsen Just tried this and he still can't use it and still don't get money from dragging things in. I guess I just have to live with this "fixed bug"
