Do you have any large game-addition type mods, such as Road to Fame, Get to School etc. because these contain custom traits/aspirations themselves.
As @Bananas_45 mentioned, ensure that all the mods you have, including those that may not refer directly to aspiratons/traits, are updated to the current version (or are confirmed compatible) with your game.
