If you set male pregnancy on true, then that would allow your male NPC Sims to get pregnant when the random pregnancies happen. This mod is currently only controlling NPC pregnancies, so this would have no effect on the Sims you control and whether you could make male Sims get pregnant by choosing "Try For Baby".
I believe the "Same-Sex pregnancy mod" you mentioned is the exact opposite. It has nothing to do with NPC Sims. It only has to do with your active Sim that you're controlling and their ability to do "Try for Baby" with another male Sim and allow them to get pregnant. These are two different processes so they should not conflict. My mod does one thing with one type of Sims (NPC's), the other mod handles a different set of Sims (Active).
