need help with script error etc

issues with adding to families with shift and script error.. never used to happen but failed to locate script.

@bzblfio2wiea Nothing here indicates that a mod is causing your problem, but it's also not enough information (there's not much we can tell from screenshots alone unless it's to identify a possible cause of a UI glitch). Hi thank you for replying i will preform those solutions and get back to you but basically what is happening is that when i hold shift and choose a character i want to add to the family that triggers a better execption error and the character gets added to the family but i cannot control them, even asking then to join the family gets glitched out and have to restart and the sim_info i get constantly and i dont know how to fix.

I have removed MCC from my game and tried adding to the family but it still does not work and the error that comes up is “Exception in unknown timeline: Exception running Element (AttributeError: “NoneType” object has no attribute ‘add_knows_career’)

@bzblfio2wiea Please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

@luthienrising I have just done some research after doing the recommendations from members and have come to the conclusion plus research that have led me to believe that the new update on the sims has broken this mechanism and it’s something that the makers of sims need to fix… I’ve disabled onedrive and took out all my mods apart from better exceptions because i needed it to find out the error that was happening and after doing so i browsed another answer HQ forum that had a better explanation then i did and gave me the answers i need, i just will have to hope that the sims team fixes it real soon.

@bzblfio2wiea Yep, this could well be a bug. We were going through the steps to find if it was caused by a mod not a game bug. Once I know a problem still happens without mods, I can generally refer you on.
