Neighborhood Stories: Adopt a Pet only results in dog adoption?

I wanted to test the waters with other players before opening a report in the bug forum. In the new neighborhood stories, if the Adopt a Pet option is on, families only adopt dogs, I've never had any...

@GiardiniDiMarzo Personally I also have a huge overload on dogs but also have one cat adopted.
