Neighbourhood stories still working after disabling

I disabled neighbourhood stories and a few days later a sim I wasn't playing randomly just died, I'm sure I disabled it correctly? Is there another way to disable this that I'm missing or is it just ...

    @GlitterNoodles

    If you still have aging on for played sims and NPCs after turning off Neighborhood Stories, that might be the cause of the sims dying.  So, I suggest you check your Game Options>Gameplay Settings.  In my game, I have mine set to allow NPC aging and dying (It's controlled by checking the unplayed sims checkbox - uncheck to stop aging).  For played sims, my setting for the auto age dropdown is set for only active household.  That setting keeps my other playable sims from aging while I am not playing them.  NPCs will age and die and the current household that I am playing will age while I play them.

    Hope this helps.
