New buildings and inventory items gone

After the recent patch, new buildings and new inventory items disappear. If a place a building or something from inventory, save and exit, then come back, it's gone. The buildings are also listed as residential even if it's a museum or any other lot type. All mods are updated and I've tried removing them altogether but it keeps happening.
