New CC Not showing up in game

I've been playing Sims 4 with CC for over a year now, and CC works in game, and I know what folder to put it in, etc.

Yesterday, I added new CC from different creators, but none of it is showing up in game. When I look at my list of mods in game, none of them appear there either

In my Mods folder on my computer, they're there, along with all of my other CC that I've had and that does show up.

My old CC still shows up and works fine; only the new isn't showing

My game updated yesterday, but this has never happened after an update before.

  • I figured it out!

So, all of my old CC still worked, but any new CC I added after my game updated, would not show up in-game. Here's why:

My game updated to The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, and made a new folder destination for the entire game. It duplicated all of my old mods to the new mods folder. I had a shortcut to my old mods folder, which I was adding my new CC to. The old mods folder is obsolete, as it does not interface with my current version of the game.

    My solution:

I had to move all of my new CC from the old mods folder to the new one, located through The Sims 4 Legacy Edition. Now everything shows up in game just fine!

  • hello, I'm a sims 4 player and I love using cc. I've downloaded quite a lot and I understand things like putting it in the mods folder, unpacking zip files etc. Anyway, normally after I download some cc I open up the game and try it out and make sure its working but yesterday when I opened up create-a-sim the new cc wasn't there however nothing happened to the cc I already own. It would be really helpful if someone would give me a solution? thanks so much.

  • @330000678 Did you unpack the mods you downloaded? You can only store your modifications one subfolder deep. The game will not reach mods if they are placed deeper. It could also be a problem of conflicting modifications.

  • It does seem we're having the same problem, although none of the suggestions were helpful for me. I have no sub-folders, and the CC I downloaded were newer than the latest patch, and from a variety of creators. I tried it again today, and the issue is still occurring. Thank you

@330000678 Sometimes cc and mods can have a conflict when the use the same base mesh. Mod creators do not always explain in depth if or when an internal conflict can appear. You can download tools to check if and where your modifications are outdated or conflicting. May be you should try this tool: 'Package Conflict Detector' and run a check.
  • @jpkarlsen thanks, I went on to tsr and selected 'posted today' filter and downloaded some hair. Its in the gamee 🙂 thanks everyone else for help!
