New Login Event Has Frozen My Game

@Ishtar2003 Are you using any mods/cc ? Some can conflict with the event.

My apologies, I completely forgot to mention that I did remove my mods folder. I’ve read and heard in the past that it can cause problems so I remembered to remove it first 🙂 

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair the game
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Thank you for the advice but I was somehow able to exit out of that popup and start playing. However, I discovered a new issue. If I enter CAS/BuildBuy, travel to another lot, or try switching to another household, the entire UI disappears after the loading screen. I can move the camera around, my sims are still active and doing things autonomously, but I can't control them nor does the  options menu popup when clicking on desired sim. Also, the little icon on the top left hand corner that is for holidays and events is completely whited out and you can't click on it. When an event or holiday does happen (i.e. Harvestfest, Winterfest, etc.) the box that opens in that corner is completely whited out as well and you cannot exit out. You have to restart your game for it to completely go away. The recent patch update released today (10/2) did not fix anything either.
