Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to see if your Sim can get a job through the phone.
What happens when the bug occurs? My Sim's husband has no option to choose a career. She can, but then her job vanishes.
What do you expect to see? My Sim being able to have the option to choose a career via phone.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After the recent update, my Sim has no option to find a career. His wife can, but he cannot for some reason. Her job vanishes after a while. I've tried other households and have had no issue before. I even reset my entire game, reset the family through the gallery, moved them out and back in and the issue persists.
