Re: [Patch 1.117 on] When Loading Household, Game Returns to World Select Screen

I updated my game yesterday (most recent update as of December 18th, 2025) and since then I have not been able to actually play with my households. I can build and edit houses/builds and I can create and edit sims in CAS, but every time I try to play with my created household (and really any household), I am met with the loading screen until eventually kicked to the world selection screen. If I click on the world I was in and hover over the house I was trying to play in, the family is no longer apart of the house. Everything about the build is still there and my sims are still all saved properly in my gallery. But I simply just can't actually play with them. I have restarted and reset y computer and ended all EA app and background service tasks. I've cleared my EA app cache. I've even repaired the game through the EA app. None of it has worked and I'm somewhat at a loss. If anyone knows anything about this and has figured it out, help would be appreciated :).

Are you a mod user? The August 2025 patch (1.117) broke many, many script mods, with this being the symptom, and these are still the ones most likely to be your problem. Use the Previously Broken mods and CC for many (not all!) mods that have no updates. Use “Updated” in the Broken/Updated Mods list for patch 1.117 as a second starting point, but note many were updated for patch 1.118 and/or are not yet cleared in the current list (for links, see Mod & CC Issues: START HERE).
