Lol. Most script mods use an XML injector. You just don't know it. A lot of modders who know how, write their own injector into their mod. It's how most script mods work. The external one is just for those who either don't know how, or don't feel like making their own.

As for NPCC... he refuses to release his versions to the public. The last version I saw released was almost 2 years ago. He's greedy and breaking EA's rules by permanently locking his mods behind pay walls. I refuse to use anything from him. There are other options. There are BETTER options. I even got a copy of his "paid" version and tried it... it broke my game.

Trust me. The only place for his mods are in the garbage.

NPCC creator should be reported for not making his mods free at some point.

So my problem was relegated to one sim on one save so I believe NPCC is not actually to blame but I did have to remove it temporarily so my sim can finish his degree.

Thanks for your input @Ellupelluellu! I downloaded that mod and will give it a go in a new save and see if I like it better.

I don't know if you have to actually be a patron to download it. He probably offers an update earlier for patrons but eventually, everyone can download it.

I used to think like you do but then I had some thoughts on the subject. So who would you report him to? And would you report all the other creators who have paywalls? There is A LOT of them. And honestly, I don't think EA/Maxis would consider enforcing their copyrights against the community that pays their bills and keeps the lights on. See modders make stuff that makes the game more playable for some players which means they continue to play, buy packs and kits, etc. So modders are making a little cash for themselves and for EA/Maxis.

Is there another mod that allows the micromanagement of NPC Sims to the same degree that NPCC does? Assign NPC Roles doesn't as far as I know and cheat codes certainly does not. I've got almost 300 NPCs all assigned and MCCC tagged so far in my NPCC world. My bartender at 8 Bells is always the bartender at 8 Bells, my librarian at Willow Creek Archive is always the librarian at Willow Creek Archive etc etc. I keep track of them all in a Google Sheet.

Unless there is another mod that does this level of NPC management and control, for me NPCC is well worth the three bucks a month.
